What are the types of kennels?
A kennel refers to a shed for a dog or group of dogs.
Cotton kennel: generally small in size, suitable for indoor small dogs.
Plastic kennels: usually relatively small, suitable for indoor small dogs. It is not suitable for outdoor use, it will cause cracking due to temperature. Moreover, the degree of sturdiness, heat preservation and environmental protection are also problems.
Stainless steel doghouse: a cage made of stainless steel. It is more durable and lighter, but the price is slightly higher. It is generally used for large dogs to prevent the dog from being overly mad and biting people.
Wooden doghouse: Wood is an eternal building material. It has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, heat preservation, high stability, warm in winter and cool in summer. The test results show that a 150mm thick wooden structure wall has the same thermal insulation capacity as a 610mm thick brick wall.
The wooden dog house is suitable for outdoor use and indoor use. However, for outdoor use, the dog house is required to be treated with anticorrosion and waterproofing. The service life is about 5 years. There are two main materials in the domestic market: fir kennel and pine wood kennel.
Chinese fir kennel: Chinese fir is soft and low in cost. Suitable for small dog house. It is suitable for indoor use, and the outdoor life span is only about one year.
Pine kennel: White pine, Pinus sylvestris, Nordic pine. Pinus sylvestris and red pine are mainly suitable for outdoor use of medium and large dogs. These two materials have higher density and harder texture. Nordic red pine also has natural antiseptic properties.
