The first step is to measure the body. Pets, like humans, have to measure their measurements. However, the measurements of pets and humans are completely different. The pet’s measurements should include: neck circumference, chest circumference and body length.
The so-called neck circumference refers to the circumference of your pet’s neck. In other words, it is the circumference of the place where the collar is usually worn. This location is where the neckline of a piece of clothing is located. The neckline should not be too fat, let alone too narrow. Generally, one centimeter can be released for measurement.
Where is the bust of pets? Specifically, it refers to the circumference of the widest place at the base of their front legs. Usually, this is the fattest place for pets. Because this place is thick and fleshy, the accuracy of the measurement is difficult to grasp. Generally, at least two to three centimeters should be released for measurement.
The length referred to here is not their entire length. It is the length from the back of their neck to the base of the tail. It should be noted that when measuring the length, you must make your pet stand upright. Fully extend your body, do not lie on your stomach or lying down. If so, the accuracy of the measurement scale will be greatly compromised.
The above three parts are the most basic measurement parts for making pet clothing. If you need to make more delicate clothing, it is best to measure their leg length, the distance between the two front legs, the length of the lower body, and so on. Some special dogs also need specific measurement of specific parts. These are best measured by professional pet clothing makers, which can greatly improve the accuracy of the measurement.
